housing insecurity with the services that can make a meaningful difference.
Access support
SHELTER
For immediate shelter Call 3-1-1: This is the primary number for immediate shelter needs across Chicago.Shelter Placement and Resource Center (SPARC): Located at 2241 S. Halsted St., this is a 24/7 intake center for single adults. It provides access to showers, food, and overflow shelter.
Streetlight Chicago
Streetlight Chicago, is a free app and website with resources specifically for young people, including information on shelters, drop-in centers, and health care.
Salvation Army Shield of Hope Center, located at 924 N. Christiana, this is another resource center for those in need.
Coordinated Entry System
For assistance and resources, CES connects people to housing opportunities and homelessness prevention.

WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) provides nutrition, education and more for children and families. Pregnant and postpartum women and infants up to age 5 can receive financial support and supplemental foods, health care referrals, nutrition education and more.
THE NIGHT MINISTRY
The Night Ministry offers overnight and short-term housing for youth experiencing homelessness,
along with other services.

Provides information on legal rights and referrals to legal aid offices.

For financial or prevention assistance State Homeless Prevention Program call 311 and ask for short-term assistance for things like security deposits, rent, or utility bills.
